From a trading desk in Ahmedabad to an integrated stainless plant
Navkardeep Steel Private Limited is a stainless steel long products manufacturer based at Vijapur, Mehsana, Gujarat — part of the Navkar Group, whose roots in steel go back to 1985.
Our plant was commissioned in 2019 and produces stainless steel billets, long products and bright bars entirely in-house — from scrap melting to finished product. Melting capacity is 36,000 MT per annum and rolling capacity 48,000 MT per annum.
Because every bar starts as one of our own heats, we control chemistry, traceability and delivery ourselves — which is why every consignment leaves with a heat-wise Material Test Certificate.

Trading legacy begins
K. M. Steel Suppliers established in Ahmedabad as a steel trading and distribution firm.
2012
First manufacturing unit
Navkar Ispat Pvt. Ltd. incorporated — 10-inch rolling mill producing mild steel sections.
2019
LANDMARK
Stainless steel plant commissioned
Navkardeep Steel manufacturing facility launched at Vijapur, Mehsana with induction furnaces and 16-inch rolling mill.
2021
Bright bar unit operational
In-house cold drawing, peeling and polishing unit commissioned for export-quality bright bars.
2022
Continuous caster installed
4/7 metre radius continuous casting machine commissioned for in-house stainless steel billet production.
2022
Full stainless steel transition
Navkar Ispat re-tools its rolling mill — the entire group now focuses exclusively on stainless steel long products.

Dual ISO certification
ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 14001:2015 certified.

8 MT induction furnace
Existing 1.5 MT and 3 MT furnaces replaced with a single 8 MT induction furnace, tripling melt capacity.
