Why SS316L is the Pharmaceutical Grade of Choice
SS316L — L means low carbon
The "L" in SS316L means carbon is held below 0.03%. This prevents chromium carbide precipitation at weld zones — a process called sensitisation that creates corrosion-vulnerable areas. For welded pharma equipment, SS316L is mandatory, not optional.
Bright bar — smooth, clean, non-porous
Our bright round bars are cold-drawn and polished to tight tolerances with a smooth, non-porous surface. This eliminates micro-crevices where bacteria and product residues can accumulate — critical for GMP-compliant equipment.
Heat number traceability on every bar
Every bar we supply carries its heat number. MTC shows the exact chemistry from SPECTRO analysis. This gives your equipment manufacturer and your QA team full traceability from raw bar to finished vessel.
